Leaderhip Qualities And Roles


                            A leader has got multidimensional peculiarities in him which makes him appealing and effective in behavior. He must have a pleasing physical appearance and as well as health which is most important to be a good leader. He must be able to communicate the policies and procedures crystal clearly and effectively. Even his body language plays a vital role. He should be intelligent enough to investigate problems and difficult situations. He should be an optimist.                          

                             A leader must have a sense of responsibility towards organizational goals because only then he can get maximum of capabilities. The confidence level should be high so that he can gain the confidence of his subordinates, he should capable to handle the situations with full will power. He should understand the problems and complaints of employees and should also have a complete view of the needs and aspirations of the them. This helps in improving human relations.
                       A leader through leadership peculiarities helps in integrating the personal achievements of the employees with the organizational achievements. He is trying to co-ordinate the efforts of people towards a common purpose and thereby achieves objectives.A leader is said to be the representative of the enterprise. He has to show the concern at seminars, general meetings. Leadership can be practiced through guidance and counseling of the subordinates at the time of implementation of plans.
                              A leader must have the three dimensional pecularities in him. He can be a friend by sharing the opinions and thoughts with the employees. He can be a philosopher by using his knowledge and experience and thereby supporting the employees as and when the time requires. He can be a guide by supervising and interacting with the employees the plans and policies of top organization and secure their co-operation to achieve the goals. Sometimes he can also play the role of a counselor by counseling and problem-solving . He have to listen the problems of the employees and try to solve them.
                           A leader motivates the employees with thrifty and non-thrifty rewards and thereby gets the work from the subordinates. He instructs the subordinates the way they have to perform their work effectively and efficiently. Confidence is an important thing which can be achieved through keeping the work efforts to the subordinates, clarifying them clearly their role and giving the guidelines to achieve the goals sucessfully. It is also important to hear the employees with regards to their complaints and problems.
                               Business Organisation is getting things done from people. An efficient work surroundings helps in sound and stable growth. So that, human relations should be kept into mind by a leader. He should treat employees as friends. From the above qualities present in a leader, Everyone can easily understand the range of leadership and it’s importance for range of business. A leader cannot have all peculiarities at one time. But a few of them helps in achieving operative results. A leader cannot maintain impact unless he show that he is forward looking. He has to imagine situations and thereby has to frame logical programs.
